Hello.

Rebecca Martin

I am a mother of two children, a wife of a mountain bike mad husband and a keen sportswoman.

Sport has always been a huge part of my life. It is meditation when I need a clear head, it's a source of friendship (there's nothing like the bond you have after cycling 320 kms together!) and it gives me an excuse to eat chocolate!

After the birth of my son I learnt just how much your body changes and strived to find my new 'normal' and rebuild my strength. This lead me on a journey to specialise in physiotherapy for women's health. I believe that exercise empowers women, strengthens their bodies and when it's done safely, can become an important part of a healthy pregnancy, birth and aid recovery.

I am  a  UK trained physiotherapist with more than 25 years of experience.  I hold a Masters in Women's Health Physiotherapy from Curtin University, Perth.

I am also a Clinical Supervisor for Curtin University and an Instructor for the Australia Physiotherapy Association.

In 2025 I am commencing PhD research project into postpartum recovery with Canberra University

I am based in Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
